Mash Brewing Swan Valley – We live in Guildford so we tend to go out in the Swan Valley at least once a month as it’s so close by and there are lots of options to eat, drink and play. My husband loves his craft beer so for a change he wanted to be in charge of our Australia Day plans, I wasn’t going to complain so the next thing you know a group of us had a table booked at Mash Brewing on West Swan Road.
I haven’t eaten there for a good couple of years so was looking forward to seeing what they had on offer (other than beer) for us and the kids.
As soon as we walked in I could see the kids’ area had an upgrade as it’s now gated! Great for my little one as we could put him in there and know he wouldn’t be able to escape into the carpark, but not so great for my oldest who wanted me to let her in and out all afternoon. But it was a good spot for the kids to discover some different toys, books, blocks and a chalkboard table.
Outside, there is a fort style playground surrounded by grass, featuring a slide, fireman’s pole and…
a tunnel too.
The playground is easily viewed from the veranda dining area.
Kids meals were all $13 which included a drink. They had all the usual suspects – chicken strips, fish and chips, pizza, spag bol and even a mini rump steak on the menu. Kids eat free on Fridays after 5pm so I think we’ll have to plan around that next time!
The kids meals arrived with our entrees so they were finished by the time our mains arrived but were happy to play in the kids area which we could see from our table.
They brew all of their beer in the Swan Valley and you can also watch the brewers behind the bar when they’re hard at work.
It’s a great location, next to Supa Golf and across the road from the West Swan Hall and carpark which sometimes has food vans or roadside fruit ‘n veg for sale and a small shaded play space. Mash also have another brewery in Bunbury.
Mash Brewing Swan Valley is open for lunch 7 days a week from 11am, they close at 5pm on Monday/Tuesday, 8pm on Wednesday/Thursday/Sunday and 9pm Friday/Saturday.
