Hyde park, an inner city park which boast a pretty awesome playground. It is situated on the corner of Vincent and Throssell Street, North Perth. The playground is perfect for kids of all ages and abilities. The main playground resembles a castle where kids can let their imagination run wild, pretending to be knights and princesses running amok around the castle. Hyde Park water playground is a fantastic spot to go and cool off in those warmer months. The water park has recently undergone an upgrade and now has new shade sails installed over the entire splash pad area. There is plenty of shade around the park also due to the large trees that are scattered all around. We visited Christmas eve and were expecting it to be really busy, but we were quite surprised as we managed to find a lovely spot under a tree (right near the splash pad) and have a picnic lunch. Seldon Street Playground is located in a small park on Eton Street, North Perth. The street is fairly quiet, with plenty of roadside parking available. The playground area is fenced with two Maglock gates, and the equipment is surrounded by rubbery softfall. Shade sails cover most of the playground, with shady trees outside the fence helping to increase the shaded area. Hobart Street Playground is situated on the corner of Hobart and Auckland Streets in North Perth. Being a small neighbourhood park it doesn’t have fancy play equipment, BBQs, picnic tables or toilets. What makes it popular with many families is that it is fully fenced and gated, has large shade sails over all the play equipment and had a large grassed area perfect for throwing down a picnic blanket or playing ball games.
