Mandurah is famous for its waterways and canals (hello, epic Christmas light displays). These canals become more like streets for visitors and locals, using them to travel around Mandurah. And thereโ€™s nothing more โ€œMandurahโ€ than mooring up at the back of the pub and enjoying a meal. We hired a boat from Mandurah Boat Hire to arrive like the locals do!

Boundary Island Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery and restaurant looking out towards Boundary Island in Collins Pool.  The brewery can be accessed by boat at the rear or by car at the front. The rear of the complex features a huge alfresco area over looking the water, perfect for a sunset dinner watching the sky turn different colours. The menu features pub favourites like steak sandwiches and burgers plus a huge wood-fired pizza menu. We shared a selection of pizzas which were all delicious!

To accompany the food, there is a selection of wine, cocktails, mocktails and, of course, their craft beer selection, which is all brewed on-site.

The front of the building features a huge boat called the โ€œEsmereldaโ€ in the centre of a childrenโ€™s playground. The kids can pretend to be fisherman while waiting for their meal. There are tables right next to the play area so you can watch the kids at all times.

The kidโ€™s menu ranges from $10-$14. Our youngest tried the kidโ€™s pasta ($10) and it was a hit. For dessert, they offer dessert pizzas and ice cream.

Boundary Island Brewing Company can be found at 21 Marina Quay Drive, Erskine Mandurah. Via boat it is on the west side of Sticks Channel near Creevs Island. They are open 11.30-9pm Monday to Thursday, till 10pm on Fridays and open early on the weekends at 8am for breakfast.
