WA Day Festival 2024 Metro Event – CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER
With FREE Festival Entry & FREE Public Transport, you don’t want to miss a second of this year’s massive two-day festival at Optus Stadium Precinct & Burswood Park on June 2 & 3.
The WA Day Festival is a vibrant celebration that honours the spirit of Western Australia. Held annually across the WA Day long-weekend in June, this event brings together people from all walks of life to commemorate our shared heritage and achievements.
What’s coming?
- Free music concert both days: The stage is set with two epic line-ups of renowned Australian artists. The main stage will pulse with energy from noon both days. Stay tuned for the big reveal!
- Drone Shows & Fireworks both nights: Witness the state’s biggest-ever drone light show, where 500+ drones illuminate the night sky with iconic stories and images. Set to an epic WA playlist, this mesmerizing display captures the essence of our great state.
- Family Fun: Starting from 10AM, families can enjoy free entertainment and attractions. From a silent disco to free carnival rides, there’s something for everyone. Explore activations by Spudshed, Scitech, WA Museum, Lotterywest, Channel 7, The West Australian, Nova and more.

WA Day Festival – Northam
A clash between the West Coast Eagles reserves and Perth Demons WAFL on June 2 will be for the new WA Day Northam Cup in collaboration with the WA Football Commission. The match is set to be held at Henry Street Oval in the Wheatbelt town, which boasts a huge list of current players and all-time legends including Bobby Hill, Darren Glass and Leon Davis. Eagles stars are expected to head to the event, which will also include free family-friendly entertainment and activities. Event details:
- Bounce down at 11:10am;
- Entry to the match will be free for children 18 and under;

Our WA Day Festivals are back, packed with awesome family entertainment and delicious local food, so come celebrate everything that makes our State so great at FREMANTLE FISHING BOAT HARBOUR.
