Verona Froyo Bar in East Victoria Park is a fun, colourful spot for families and froyo fans, and a great alternative to busier chains like Yo-Chi. Located on Albany Highway in Vic Park’s main strip, it’s easy to pop in after school, after dinner or while you’re out exploring the local cafés and shops. The space is bright and modern with a cute, Instagrammable vibe – including a swing that’s perfect for those must-have photo moments.

Inside, you’ll find a self-serve frozen yoghurt bar where kids (and grown-ups) can build their own creations. Start by grabbing a cup and choosing from the rotating froyo flavours which can include classics like chocolate and vanilla as well as fruity options such as mango or strawberry. The yoghurt is made fresh onsite daily using 98% fat free milk and contains probiotics, so it feels a little lighter than traditional ice cream while still being creamy and satisfying.

Once you’ve picked your base, it’s time for the toppings – the most exciting bit for kids. There’s a generous selection to sprinkle, pour and pile on, from fresh fruit that’s prepared onsite, to crunchy add-ons, chocolates and sweet sauces like Biscoff and chocolate drizzle. It’s all self-serve, so children will love being in charge of designing their own “masterpiece”. Just remember the cups are priced by weight, so it’s a good chance to talk about portion size before they get too carried away.

Verona Froyo Bar often runs special offers and promotions, so it’s worth keeping an eye out when you visit. When we popped in during the school holidays there was a 20% student discount available, which my daughter was able to use by showing her SmartRider. Deals like this make it an even more appealing treat spot for families with school-aged kids and teens.

Service is friendly and welcoming, and staff are happy to explain how it all works if it’s your first time. There are spots to sit and enjoy your froyo, and the swing feature makes it feel extra fun for kids and very “Instagrammable” for teens. It’s the kind of place where you can relax while the kids experiment with different flavours and topping combinations, and even snap a few photos of their creations. Verona also invites customers to share pictures of their cups via their website, which adds to the community feel.

Verona Froyo Bar is open every day from late morning until late evening, and they’re open on all public holidays, making it a handy go-to for after-dinner dessert, an afternoon holiday treat or a reward after weekend sport. With its fresh, made-on-site yoghurt, family-friendly vibe and student discounts, Verona Froyo Bar is a lovely local spot to visit when you’re in Vic Park.
