When was the last time you went to Tots town? Or have you not even discovered the northern suburbs children’s role-play centre?
Tots Town is a favourite of mine, whether I want my toddler to think she is about to be spoilt with an amazing day of little world play or when I just need to get out of the house and not have to worry about my playroom being a bomb. There is so much to love about this place, so let’s cover all of it.
Firstly, there are 8 different themed rooms including:
Home
Supermarket
School
Hairdressers
Hospital
Café
Construction
Space station
Plus it has a soft indoor play area, as well as a designated baby play area.
You could spend hours here, and it’s great news you actually can. With no set start session times and no time limits. Meaning you can come here until you have all had enough. I mean I highly doubt the kids will have had enough, but at least enough to fill your cup.
My daughter is 3.5 and has been coming here since she was around 2. Even my youngest, now 12 months, is able to walk around and have fun with her new doll obsession. She is happy to play in the “home” room. I also love that somehow my kids go from not leaving my side to being little independent humans, meaning it is a great place for play dates. You can actually talk to your friend and have a conversation!
The centre has also had several updates including a café with a coffee machine and a small selection of food. Plus you are allowed to bring in your own lunchboxes, another thing I love about this play centre. No half-eaten plain chips and nuggets are going to waste. There is also a buzz buzz and the newest Starbucks just around the corner if you’re after a treat.
Another update is their amazing themed play sessions from toddler science, paint and sip, rhyme time, messy play and more.
Most of these are included in the standard entry price as well, making it amazing value for money. They also have themed character visits from Peppa Pig, Paw patrol and Bluey, just to name a few.
The newest addition is their creche service. Allowing children over 2 years of age to get a 2-hour supervised play with morning tea included allowing mum or dad to go run any errands or relax. A wonderful service, especially if you don’t have support close by.
Open Monday to Saturday 9-5, with amazing afternoon specials as well. After 3pm entry is just $10 meaning the kids can burn off that last minute energy before dinner time.
