Aviary Creek Park is a fun and creative play space in the growing suburb of Aveley. The one-of-a-kind playground has been built around two natural lakes and the main feature is a giant water wheel with twisting tunnel slides! The water wheel is split into two levels, the first level has a blue slide and wooden bridge that leads to a ladder back down to ground level. Vale Adventure Park is Aveley’s newest playground, located on Egerton Drive it is walking distance to the local IGA and cafes, including a favourite of mine Mecca Gourmet. As we arrived my oldest children ran straight to the dual flying fox, they were all smiles racing each other to the end. Miss 7 (she’s a bit of a shorty) struggled to bring her flying fox back to the start, so smaller children will need some help, although I found the next kid in line was pretty keen for their turn so they would also help her out. Today we discovered the newly opened pirate playground in Ellenbrook. It’s located on Verbana Drive near Cashman Avenue. It is fully fenced (although there are a few areas where little ones could escape in the space under the fencing), shaded and there is soft fall and well as sand within in the park. My 3 year old was in pirate heaven as the main part of the playground is shaped as a pirate ship with a steering wheel, pretend canons and a lookout.
