I recently took my daughter and her friends there for her 14th birthday, and it was an absolute hit. From the moment we “checked in” to this quirky hotel, we knew we were in for a good time.

You can choose between 5 or 10 rooms, depending on how much excitement you want to pack into your day. Think giant games, fast-paced tasks, and teamwork—all while racing against the clock.
We went with the 5-room option, and my daughter and her friends split into two teams. The competition was fierce! From problem-solving to silly physical challenges, there were tons of laughs and plenty of friendly banter between the two groups. Every room has a completely different vibe, so you never know what’s coming next, which just keeps the excitement going.
The staff at Hijinx were fantastic—super friendly, quirky, and full of energy, making sure the girls were hyped from start to finish. And honestly, as a parent, it was so refreshing to see a group of teens off their phones and fully engaged!
Hijinx is ideal for families with kids aged 5 and up, but if you’re thinking of bringing younger ones, it’s totally doable (as long as they’re with a grown-up). And for all the parents out there—if you want a little kid-free fun, Hijinx turns into an adults-only playground after 8 pm! Grab a cocktail at their mega bar and dive into the challenge rooms with friends for a night out that’s way more exciting than your usual dinner and drinks.
Located on the West Deck of Karrinyup Shopping Centre, Hijinx Hotel is easy to find, and you can even combine your visit with a trip to Holey Moley Golf Club, Strike Bowling, or Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq. Just make sure you book in advance—this place is super popular!

Enter from Karrinyup Road near Hungry Jacks: turn left into the pink/red car park.
Entrance from Jones Road: Walk through the outside eating area, enter the venue next to Grilld, and follow the escalator/ lift to level 1 for Hijinx or level 2 for Archie Brothers.
