We visited on opening day, and the bridge immediately impressed with its 6-metre-wide path, ensuring plenty of space for walkers, cyclists, and prams. The separation from traffic provides peace of mind for families, and the views of the river and Perth’s skyline are stunning. Midway, Heirisson Island offers a delightful stop where you might even spot kangaroos.
The bridge lighting, a nightly spectacle from sunset to midnight, enchants all who see it. With over 17,000 LED lights, the dynamic displays celebrate Perth’s culture and heritage.
