The Baskerville tavern has taken over the old Feral Brewery and is now open for business!
The Baskerville Tavern, located in the Swan Valley, is a great place to take the kids for a meal. The tavern has two play areas – one wooden nature play-based, and the other an old school play equipment with some games surrounding it.
Baskerville Tavern is a great choice if you’re dining out with young kids who need to be closely watched. The tables are close to the play areas, making it easy to keep an eye on your little ones while they enjoy themselves.
The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, so there is a good choice of places to sit.
There is a big screen overlooking the shaded manicured lawn, which provides plenty of seating, and there are also tables amongst the vines which makes for a pleasant dining experience.
The outdoor bar right near the big screen is a great place to order drinks and save yourself from walking back inside the venue.
If you’re looking for a great selection of drinks and food, Baskerville Tavern is the place for you. There’s no menu on the website, but we got the steak sandwich and it didn’t disappoint. There’s also a kids’ menu available, so dining with kids is no problem. The kids loved their fish and chips.
However, when visited the tavern on a Saturday afternoon and was disappointed to find that the kitchen wasn’t open until 5pm, even though the website said it would be open from 12pm to 8pm. If you wish to eat, maybe call ahead to double-check that the kitchen is open.
Baskerville tavern is also dog friendly. The Swan Valley region is a great place to bring your family, including your pooch, for a day out, and Baskerville tavern is the perfect place to soak up the sunshine with a refreshing drink.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we had a great experience overall. We’ll definitely be back!
