Bamb Binos Coffee and Ice Creamery

If you’re looking for a family friendly spot for coffee, ice cream or a quick bite to eat, then Bamb Binos Coffee and Ice Creamery ticks all those boxes. Relax under their shady umbrellas with a book or grab your treats to go.

I came across Bamb Binos via a friend’s Instagram a few weeks ago. Seeing their colourful pictures, I knew we’d have to check it out. Walking up, you can’t miss the sunshine yellow umbrellas shading the seating. Likewise, you can’t miss the tranquil mural of a woman resting in flowers in front of the cafe.

The main draw card for Miss 5 today was the ice cream. This is supplied by Gelatino, a WA based ice cream maker. There were six flavours available ranging from chip mint to a vibrant rainbow. Miss 5 chose the rainbow, of course. This tasted exactly like rainbow Paddlepops! It seemed to be a crowd favourite as we saw a few other kids enjoying a scoop, too.

Since it was late morning, I chose an iced mocha with a double shot of coffee. This was excellent! It had a bold but clean coffee flavour with the chocolate, and wasn’t overly milky like some. All up, our treats today cost around $10.

While waiting to order, I was pleasantly surprised to find Bamb Binos keep a collection of kids books and toys near the counter. During our visit, we sat under an umbrella and read Mary Poppins. It seemed fitting with the bright mural on the ground below us! In addition to the books, there is a box of blocks in a tub suitable for small children.

We also spotted that furry family members are welcome to visit too. Bamb Binos has a big dish of water outside for visiting dogs. Pups are also welcome to relax on the desk.

As well as serving yummy ice cream and coffee, Bamb Binos Coffee and Ice Creamery also stock a selection of sweets, muffins and slices. A fridge is full of various flavoured breads such as banana bread, apple and raspberry bread and blueberry bread. There are also more substantial food options such as ham and cheese toasties, chicken and mayo rolls, avo smash or pastries.

Drink options include hot coffees, iced drinks such as frappes or iced coffee/chocolate, or milkshakes. They also sell icy drinks, juices and iced tea. Along with the drinks, they stock keep cups and metal straws for the enviromentally conscientious consumer.

In addition to having a comfy shop front to relax in, there is also a drive-thru option available for coffee or snacks on the go. This can be accessed via Wilson Street and brings you around the rear of the cafe.

In conclusion, we enjoyed our visit to Bamb Binos Coffee and Ice Creamery today. It’s a great spot to stop and watch the world go by or chill out between activities. Sitting and reading together while we enjoyed our order was a lovely way to stop and reconnect during our busy day. The customer service is fantastic, and the flavoured are delightful It’s well worth a visit!
