You canโt visit Augusta without a trip to the famous Augusta Bakery. Keep your eyes peeled for the cute blue cottage on the southwest town’s main street (Blackwood Ave).

The bakery gets absolutely pumping in the summer, but donโt let the line put you off. The staff are legends and the queue moves really fast.

The menu is huge! They have all the classic country bakery staples (custard slices, lamingtons, jam cream doughnuts).

There’s salads and fresh cut fruit for those wanting a healthier option. Plus, a few of those trendy treats you usually only find in Perth – cruffin anyone?!

Their pies and sausage rolls are the stars of the show, and they do sell out, so get in early.

My family went crazy for the beef brisket and jalapeรฑo pie, and the chunky beef, cheese, and bacon was a massive hit too. With over 15 types of pies (including curry lamb and veggie pasties) and a small GF selection, everyone is happy.

There’s a casual dining area with ocean view for those wanting to devour their baked goodies super fresh.

We grabbed our haul and drove three minutes down to Flinders Bay beach for a picnic with a view.

Augusta Bakery is a great, no fuss spot to grab a bite in the southwest seaside town.
