Skating in Mandurah

Skating in Mandurah is returning to the Mandurah Eastern Foreshore for another winter season, bringing an open-air ice rink back to one of Mandurah’s most scenic waterfront spots. Running from Friday 3 July to Sunday 19 July 2026, this winter favourite is a great school holiday outing for families, with daily skating sessions, a festive atmosphere and plenty of space to make the most of the foreshore before or after your skate.

The ice rink will open at midday on Friday 3 July, then continue daily from Saturday 4 July through to Sunday 19 July. Fridays and Saturdays will run later into the evening, making them a fun option for families who want to enjoy the lights and atmosphere after dark. Sundays to Thursdays have earlier closing times, which works well for younger children and daytime visits.

Skating in Mandurah is suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, and the City of Mandurah has confirmed that the rink is wheelchair accessible. This makes it a more inclusive winter activity for families, whether you have confident skaters, first-timers, little ones who want to give it a try, or family members who need accessible options.

The event takes place on the Mandurah Eastern Foreshore, right in the heart of Mandurah. It is a lovely location for a winter day out, with the estuary nearby, cafés and restaurants within walking distance, and plenty of room for a wander along the foreshore. Families could easily turn a skating session into a bigger outing with lunch, a hot chocolate, a play by the water or a walk through the town centre.

For 2026, the City of Mandurah lists the event price as $15, with ticketing and session details still to be confirmed. Families planning to attend should check the official City of Mandurah event page closer to the date for booking links, session times, ticket conditions and any updates to pricing.

The rink will operate from 12pm to 8pm on Friday 3 July. From Saturday 4 July, opening hours are 9am to 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9am to 6pm from Sundays to Thursdays. The 2026 season finishes on Sunday 19 July.

If you are planning a visit with children, it is worth allowing extra time to park, collect tickets if required, get skates fitted and settle everyone before your session. As with most ice-skating events, socks are usually a must, so pack a pair for each skater just in case. Warm layers are also a good idea, especially for evening sessions on the foreshore.

Skating in Mandurah is a fun way to embrace winter in WA, especially during the July school holidays. With its central foreshore location, accessible rink and daily sessions, it is a family-friendly event that adds a little winter magic to Mandurah.
