The Ritz Kids Afternoon Tea was beautifully presented and full of thoughtful little details that instantly sparked excitement. From the adorable sweet treats to the delicious savoury bites, everything was perfectly portioned for little hands while still feeling wonderfully indulgent. It was one of those experiences where the presentation was just as magical as the food itself.
During the school holidays, from 4th July to 19th July 2026, children can enjoy the Ritz Kids Afternoon Tea for $55, including a choice of milk and juice. They also get to take home Leo the Lion, the much-loved Ritz Kids mascot, as a plush toy keepsake.
The children’s savoury plate included a ham and cheese sandwich, curry chicken pie and macaroni and cheese croquette, all of which the girls demolished with no problems. The portions were just right for younger diners and the menu felt fun without being too fussy.
Their sweet plate included buttermilk scones and child-friendly versions of the hazelnut essence sphere and baked strawberry tart. These were the clear favourites, especially the scones served with whipped cream and jam. The girls absolutely loved them and could not praise them enough.
The adults certainly were not forgotten either, with the signature Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea priced at $82. The menu is inspired by Western Australia’s rich culinary regions and is paired with Seven Seas Tea from Margaret River and Offshoot Coffee. There are also sparkling wine packages available for those wanting to elevate the experience for a celebration or special occasion.
The savoury selection features delicate finger sandwiches with a variety of flavours and textures that go well beyond a traditional afternoon tea offering. Each piece is carefully assembled, making every bite feel fresh, elegant and satisfying without being overly heavy. The selection included egg mayonnaise with shichimi and bonito, beef ham with smoked honey, mustard and cheddar, cucumber with crème fraîche, dill and lemon myrtle oil, and smoked salmon with Jarrah truffle honey, ricotta and Geraldton wax.
No afternoon tea is complete without a sweet plate, and this is where the pastry team truly shines. The sweets included a hazelnut essence sphere with praline and salted caramel, lamington travel cake with raspberry, Davidson plum and coconut ganache, baked passionfruit meringue tart with candied desert lime and finger lime caviar, and buttermilk and raisin scones served with smoked honey, whipped cream and strawberry jam.
Each dessert was beautifully finished, balancing sweetness with refined flavours, and every piece was as photogenic as it was delicious.
The premium tea selection complemented the menu beautifully, with classic favourites and aromatic blends designed to pair with both the savoury and sweet courses. The Ritz-Carlton Afternoon Tea can cater for a range of dietary requirements, including gluten free, dairy free, pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan. Beyond the food, what really made the afternoon memorable was the exceptional service. The team genuinely engaged with my girls, making them feel like the VIP guests of the day.
