If you’re looking for a family-friendly pub in Perth’s south, The Bentley has recently undergone a stunning renovation, making it a fresh and modern place to enjoy a meal. Located on Albany Highway, it features a Sports Bar, a welcoming Bistro, and a spacious Beer Garden—all designed to cater to a wide range of guests, including families with young children.
With themed events every day of the week, Sundays are dedicated to Family Funday, featuring their classic Sunday Roast and free face painting for the little ones. It’s a great way to enjoy a relaxed afternoon while keeping the kids entertained.
Our Experience
We visited on a Sunday Funday, booking online in advance. The reservation process was smooth, and we appreciated the confirmation sms ensuring our family is still coming. However, upon arrival, the venue was incredibly busy, and we were seated at a low coffee table, which wasn’t ideal with small children. While this was unexpected, the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly, ensuring we had a clean and secure high chair with a harness—something many places overlook.
Ordering is done via a QR code, with your order automatically linked to your booking for seamless service. While the usual food wait time is around 20 minutes, due to the high volume of guests, we waited 40-45 minutes. The staff, however, were very apologetic and generously offered us complimentary drinks to make up for the delay, which was a thoughtful touch.
Food & Kids’ Menu
The kids’ meals were a highlight! Each meal comes with a fun “frog in a pond” dessert—a cute jelly cup topped with whipped cream and a chocolate frog, which our toddler absolutely loved.
• Toddler-approved: Nuggets and chips—crispy and satisfying.
• Baby-friendly: Pasta, which was soft and easy to eat.
• Parent pick: The chicken roll—simple, tasty, and filling.
While we didn’t try the Sunday Roast, it looked fantastic, and many tables around us were enjoying it. If you’re planning to order it, arriving early might be a good idea to beat the rush. As each booking is capped at 2 hours.
Play Area & Facilities
The outdoor play area is fantastic for kids but completely unshaded, so it can get quite hot, especially in the middle of the day. While there are mist sprinklers and fans, the soft-fall flooring and climbing equipment do heat up quickly—so shoes are a must! We’d also recommend bringing hats and sunscreen for little ones.
The play area includes:
• A xylophone for musical play
• A climbing structure with a slide
• A fireman’s pole
• A play café and building blocks
Parents with babies will appreciate the faux grass flooring around the beer garden area, making it a comfortable space for crawlers and early walkers. There are also baby-changing facilities nearby, which is always a plus for families.
