Scitech’s new feature exhibition, “Human Potential,” is an inspiring and thought-provoking experience that offers a captivating glimpse into the future of technology and its impact on human capabilities. I visited the exhibit with my three children, aged 13, 7, and 6, I was genuinely impressed by the immersive and educational journey it provided for both kids and adults.
Within the Human Potential exhibition, there are 23 hands-on displays that bring science and innovation to life. Among these displays, the Exoskeleton was an absolute favourite for all of us. Inspired by the resilient shells of insects, this exhibit showcased how engineers are developing exoskeletons to make us stronger and more mobile, sparking our imaginations about the possibilities of enhanced human abilities.
The kids were absolutely blown away by the Wind Tunnel… literally!
Another highlight was the Infrared camera, where the kids discovered that infrared is the colour of heat.
“Mind and Machine” was another mind-boggling experience that blurred the lines between science and science fiction. Controlling a computer with the power of one’s mind felt like a glimpse into a future limited only by our imaginations.
For my competitive 13-year-old, the opportunity to race against a Paralympian was a thrilling highlight. This experience not only provided a lot of fun but also delivered a valuable lesson in determination and inclusivity. She also relished the challenge of adding segmented parts to the body before the timer stopped, a unique and engaging way to explore the intricacies of human anatomy.
Scitech’s “Human Potential” exhibition is undoubtedly a testament to the power of science and innovation. I highly recommend this exhibition to families seeking an unforgettable and inspiring educational experience that will leave everyone with a sense of wonder and curiosity about the limitless possibilities the future holds.
