Lake Leschenaultia MTB Trails, Chidlow
Skill Level – Easy to Intermediate Trails
If youโre a noob to mountain biking, Lake Lesch is an awesome place to start. There are 9 fun trails, ranging from beginner to intermediate. So PERFECT for kids wanting to give MTB a try and build their confidence. The Railway Run is the best dedicated MTB track to start on for kids. The easy, flat 700m trail follows the old miniature rail line. Perfect for beginners and children. The kids will love to explore the old railway station too!

Kalamunda Trails
Skill Level – Easy to Extreme Trails
The 40km Kalamunda network of MTB trails is WAโs largest and busiest. The one
-way mountain bike trails are well signposted. Most of the easy trails start from the Calamunda Camel Farm hub, where there is also a cafรฉ. At the Black Stump area, youโll also find a pump track.

The Goat Farm, Greenmount
Skill Level – Easy to Difficult
This designated mountain bike park is found on the scarp of the Perth Hills (in between Midland and Mundaring). There’s a dedicated skills park and easy trails you can ride with kids. The Goat Farmโs steep trails are very challengingโฆ some might say itโs best suited to mountain goats! Experienced riders are sure to catch some air at the Goat Farm and itโs a heap of fun. The park has also been designed to cater for downhill and cross-country riders.
Find the Goat Farm just off Great Eastern Highway, onto Greenmount Rise, Greenmount.

Bayswater BMX and Mountain Bike Facility
Found under the Tonkin Highway bridge at the end of Katanning Street, Bayswater. Gear up for an adrenaline-fueled day at Bayswater BMX and Mountain Bike Facility. Get pedaling beneath the arches of the Mooro-Beeloo Bridge. This exciting addition caters to riders of all skill levels, promising thrills and spills for beginners and seasoned daredevils. A junior pump track is perfect for budding riders to hone their skills on gentle bumps and turns. More experienced riders can test their abilities on the versatile pump track, offering a variety of routes. For a more intense challenge, the MTB tech track, flow track, and skills track have obstacles ranging from drops and rocks to exhilarating jumps. Munda Bidi, Mundaring
This iconic,1,000km off-road trail begins in Mundaring, very close to the Sculpture playground. Experienced riders can head all the way down to Albany, but you can cut down the rides into much smaller bites too. Try a family ride from Mundaring Weir to Mundaring Weir, or from Mundaring Weir to the Kalamunda Trails, which the Munda Bidi passes through.
Langford Park, Jarrahdale
Skill Level – Easy to Moderate Trails
Here’s another fun MTB trail in the Perth Hills…. The pea gravel tracks at Langford Park are challenging. This spot deep in the forest is perfect for winter riding, as wet tracks allow for grippier and faster trails.
Forsyths Mill, Sawyers Valley
Skill Level – Intermediate Trail
This short-ish XC style loop takes in logs and jumps over a 5km trail. Found just off Great Eastern Highway, itโs not too far from Lake Leschenaultia. There is also a much shorter beginners loop here too.
