Wembley Mini Golf is a brilliant spot for a family day or night out, offering a beautifully landscaped 18โhole course that feels like a scaledโdown version of a real golf course. Instead of the usual windmills and clowns, youโll find proper tees, fairways, little sand bunkers and water hazards, so it really does feel like โrealโ golf in miniature. Itโs set within the Wembley Golf Course complex, so you also have a driving range, Playground and 300 Acres restaurant right on the doorstep.

When you arrive, head into the golf shop to pay. Your entry includes a putter, coloured golf ball and a scorecard for each player, so youโre ready to get competitive straight away. The course has been designed for all ages and abilities โ Wembley Golf Course recommends mini golf is most suitable from about six years, but younger kids can still have fun playing along with help from an adult. The first nine holes are wheelchair and pram accessible, which makes it a great option for families with little ones in strollers or anyone with mobility needs.

Everyone tees off from the same starting point, but each hole offers three different targets: starter (red), intermediate (blue) and advanced (black). Itโs a clever way to let confident golfers challenge themselves while kids and beginners can still enjoy a realistic but manageable putt. Each hole has its own quirks โ think hills, bridges, tunnels, mini sand traps and flowing water features โ so nobody gets bored going around the course.

Kids will love the themed holes, especially Hole 6, which is set up like an AFL oval where you โkickโ a goal with your golf ball.

Thereโs a stream running through parts of the course, which adds a bit of excitement (and the odd lost ball!) so keep a close eye on younger children near the water. On Hole 13, you actually aim for the water on purpose โ the current carries your ball along towards the flag, which is a real crowdโpleaser.

Overall, the layout is challenging enough to keep adults engaged, but still very family friendly, and you can expect the full round to take up to 1.5 hours in regular times and closer to 2 hours during peak periods.

Wembley Mini Golf is popular for social outings, but it also works really well for kidsโ birthday parties and group events. Thereโs a pavilion area right next to the course thatโs available for hire, giving you a sheltered base for food, cake and presents before or after your game. For large groups or corporate exclusive hire, Wembley offers specific packages and pricing, and you can organise this via their mini golf bookings page. For everyday family visits, bookings arenโt required โ you simply turn up and play โ but on weekends and during school holidays itโs worth checking the Wembley Golf Course events calendar in case of big group bookings or events.
One of the nicest bonuses for families is the excellent Playground located right beside the mini golf. It features a tube slide, climbing structures and plenty of equipment for kids to burn off any remaining energy after their round. Itโs handy if one adult wants to relax with a drink or snack while the kids continue to play.

For food, 300 Acres Restaurant and Bar is within the same complex, so you can make a full outing of it with lunch or dinner before or after your game. There are also vending machines and a kiosk for quick refreshments, and toilets are located nearby.

Dress is casual โ thereโs no strict golf club dress code โ but all players must wear footwear and high heels arenโt allowed on the greens to protect the playing surface. The course is mostly open to the elements with limited shade, so hats, sunscreen and water bottles are a must, especially on hot days. By night the course is attractively floodlit, making it a fun evening activity for older kids, tweens and teens.
Wembley Golf Course has also taken some thoughtful steps towards being more inclusive. The first nine holesโ pram and wheelchair accessibility is a big plus, and they provide a โPlaying Mini Golf at Wembley Golf Course โ Social Storyโ, designed to help visitors with autism, communication differences or cognitive disabilities prepare for their visit. It explains what to expect stepโbyโstep, which can make the experience much smoother for some families.
