If you’re looking for great food with a great view, look no further!!
The White Elephant Café is a firm favourite with locals and tourists alike. And its easy to see why. It is a beautiful place to visit come rain…
Or shine…
The café is just a short drive from Margaret River with ample parking for your bike, car, caravan, or boat. There is even a boat ramp.
For me the appeal of this café is great food, great coffee, and the promise of a great time with the family. Generally, I visit on a morning for a good hit of caffeine and my brekkie of choice is always The Brekkie Burger. Who knew adding aioli to breakfast would taste so good?!
If you’re looking for a lighter breakfast, there are plenty of options on the menu including vegan and gluten free.
Breakfast is served until noon making this a great spot for brunch or they serve lunch from noon and are open until 3pm – you’re sure to find something for everyone. The display cabinet is always well stocked with tasty looking treats, and they have a kid’s menu too. My kids love the banana bread.
Now I have moved ‘down south’ I delight in taking visitors for a complete coastal café experience – with views you would expect to see on a postcard. I tend to sit outside and soak up the view, often with my best friend in tow…
The café is dog friendly outside and there’s usually a bowl of water for the dogs.
On rainy days I opt to sit inside. Welcomed by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the super friendly staff. There are lots of seating options inside the café and in Winter you will find a fabulous log fire. Perfect on those chilly days.
Service is always efficient, and nothing is too much trouble.
After your café visit, I can highly recommend sticking around to visit the beach and perhaps having a swim or snorkel. The bay is quite protected and very popular with families. Outside the café are toilets, changing rooms and showers. There are also toilets inside the café.
It is worth noting they café does takeaway food as well if you want to sit down on the beach but please make sure you clean up your litter. There are bins available at the café for rubbish.
How lucky are we to have this on our doorstep?!
