Lucieville Farm Chalets in Bridgetown, Western Australia, offers a unique experience for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Set on a working farm around a dam, guests can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside while staying in fully self-contained chalets.
Lucieville Farm Chalets in Bridgetown offers a variety of accommodation options for guests. From cosy A-Frame chalets to a spacious farm cottage, there is something for everyone.
The chalets are fully self-contained and come in two sizes: standard and large. The standard chalets are open-plan and perfect for couples or small families. They come with a small kitchen equipped with a gas stove, pots, cutlery, crockery, and microwave. As a family of four, we stayed in one of the large chalets which are more spacious and can accommodate larger families or groups. They have a separate bedroom, a living area, and a fully equipped kitchen.
If you’re travelling with a large group, the farm cottage is an ideal choice. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and three toilets, making it perfect for big families or groups of friends. The first two bedrooms have queen-size beds, while the other two have four single beds each (bunks).
Lucieville Farm Chalets offers a range of activities for guests to enjoy during their stay. From animal feeding and horse riding to canoeing and bushwalking, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
One of the most popular activities at Lucieville is the daily animal feeding. Every day at 9:00am, guests can help feed the animals and even milk the cow. Depending on the season, guests may have the opportunity to feed calves, lambs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and more. This hands-on experience is perfect for families with children who love animals.
For those who enjoy horse riding, Lucieville offers one-hour guided trail rides through the surrounding bushland. Riders need to be aged 10 and over to participate in the trail ride, or, alternatively, you can hire a horse which you can lead yourself around the property.
Canoeing and Swimming
At the centre of Lucilleville Farm stay is a dam which has several canoes on it which are free for guests to use whenever they wish. This makes the farm the perfect place to visit all year round.
The playground area is sure to be a hit with kids, although this is right next to the lake so you do need to ensure younger children are fully supervised at all times. Next to the playground is an enclosed BBQ area which all guests can use.
For those who prefer to explore on foot, there are several bushwalking trails that start from the property. Guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll through the forest or challenge themselves with a more strenuous hike.
Overall, Lucieville Farm Chalets offers a range of activities that are perfect for families. Whether you want to get up close and personal with the animals, explore the surrounding bushland, or simply relax and unwind, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Lucieville.
