East Fremantle

John Tonkin Reserve is found on the banks of the Swan River in East Fremantle. It’s a lovely spot for a family picnic, with lots of shade from mature trees and picnic shelters. There are BBQs, picnic tables and park benches found in the park. There’s a large boat themed sand fall playground, which is shaded by sails in warmer months. The playground features lots of fun climbing equipment. Little Chef loved the climbing rungs in the tunnels. Glasson park is a fully-gated and fenced playground, with a track around it for kids to safely scoot around in their trikes or scooters. There are plenty of shaded grass areas too. Inside the fenced area, you can also find benches and seats as well as BBQ-pits. Perfect for a picnic or even a party.
