One of Maragret River’s OG breweries, CBCo Brewing (previously known as Colonial Brewing Company) is a quick drive north of town. The tasty spot is a fun place to take the whole family as it has a big playground, large grassed area and even a driving range!
The playground at CBCo Brewing Margaret River is the traditional, colourful metal framed type; with climbing frames, slides, forts, swings, monkey bars and more.
The large beer garden is generally shaded and has a chill family friendly atmosphere. There is lots of seating under the large veranda too, where we chose to sit.
On the children’s menu, there’s a limited choice for little tummies – pizza, fries or a cheese toastie. The ham and cheese pizza ($14) was a hit.
The bowls of fries ($12) are really generous too.
For the adults there’s plenty of choice. I hadn’t visited for years, and was so pleased to see that the food is still right up there with the best pubs and breweries in the area. Mr H and I shared a few plates including a gooey baked brie, lamb chorizo and deliciously crisp pork belly.
After lunch, we were going to have a swing on the fun-looking driving range. After learning there’s a $100 fee if you let go of a club and it ends up in the water, we opted not to play – none of us wanted to have an expensive accident!
If you haven’t visited this popular southwest spot for a while, CBCo Brewing Margaret River is definitely worth revisiting.
