While most people head to Oasis Supa Golf to play Supa Golf, we were keen to check out the mini golf course with Mr 2 who’s a bit obsessed with a set of plastic clubs he got from ‘Secret Santa’ at Christmas!
There are not that many mini golf courses around Perth but we chose this one as it was close to home and not far from a myriad of wineries to keep us hydrated after the game.
After we paid our fees, we all received colour coordinated putters and balls, the kids were quite pleased about each having their own set.
This miniature course is set amongst beautiful gardens with a few water features along the way. It was a great intro to golf for the kids as even though it was 18 holes; it didn’t take us too long to get through it.
The four of us started off playing ‘properly’ and scoring, but after awhile Miss 4 wasn’t that interested and ended up skipping the difficult holes.
I haven’t played mini golf (or golf for that matter) in years and parts of it were quite challenging if you followed the rules. Leo didn’t quite seem to comprehend that he couldn’t just walk his golf ball over a stream of water if it was too hard to hit around it! The whole course took us just over an hour with the four of us (but that’s not strictly following the rules!).
Afterwards, we all got ice creams to cool down and then the kids had a play under the trees in the playground which is just out front. There are a few picnic tables scattered around so I’m sure you could bring your lunch to enjoy after golf.
Adventure Putt Miniature Golf is open 7 days a week and bookings aren’t required. They open at 9.00am on weekdays and 8.00am on weekends, last tee off 4.30pm.
The main venue is Swan Valley Oasis Resort which encompasses accommodation, a function centre, restaurant, Supa Golf (and of course mini golf!), Laser Combat Games and an Aboriginal Art Gallery all on site.
