Toodyay Manor

The Avon Valley region has SO much to explore, so why not stay for a weekend? The town of Toodyay has plenty to see and do โ€“ and Toodyay Manor is a wonderful home away from home.

Formerly the old Newcastle Hotel, and later the Toodyay Tavern, Toodyay Manor has been beautifully renovated. This is a fun fact for the kidsโ€ฆ In the 1800s Toodyay was actually called Newcastle! By the early 1900s, the townโ€™s mail was being incorrectly delivered to Newcastle in New South Wales, so Toodyay was born.

Guest library

Centrally located on the country townโ€™s main road, Stirling Terrace, the guest house offers a comfortable and affordable place to stay for families. Built in 1862, the building has been lovingly renovated to create a welcoming French provincial aesthetic. The attention to detail in the dรฉcor and furnishings creates a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

Family Deluxe Rooms

Family Deluxe Rooms

This time around, I was kid-free and I stayed in the โ€œSingle Suite Garden Viewโ€ room. The very sweet and cosy room has plush carpet; the type that your toes sink into, a comfortable King Single bed, and quality bed linen.

The modern ensuite includes a shower with good pressure, sink with mirror and toilet.

There are tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities, a TV with Netflix, split system air-conditioner/heater, free wifi, and bar fridge. It was also a great time to catch up with the David Beckham doco!ย

Other amenities include a guest kitchen (complete with lolly jar!), guest library, secure off-street parking and a handy laundry too, if required.

There are places to sit and relax in the grounds, which were once the old beer garden.

Toodyay Manor is a short walk from Toodyayโ€™s pubs, cafes, gift shops, museums, and of course the famous Toodyay bakery, guests have easy access to all that this lovely West Aussie town has to offer.
