Fancy a hands-on and fun activity for your little ones this upcoming April school holiday? Why not turn them into little certified pizza makers at The School Holiday Pizza Academy at Ribs Lane Subiaco, where they get to learn step by step from the pizza experts at Ribs Lane how to make their famous woodfired pizza from scratch? So, let’s get ready for some hands-on, dough-slinging, sauce-spreading, cheese-pulling experience that’s as fun as it is delicious!
What we love:
-The cooking class was nicely set up outside the restaurant with all the materials provided. Children received their own cooking apron and even a chef hat!
-Step-by-step instructions were given to the children, which was easy for them to understand and follow along. The chef checked in regularly with them and helped the younger ones if their dough needed more kneading.
-A fun and interactive experience for the children – the children got to catch their own “flying dough” from the chef!
-They used freshly made Napoli sauce as their pizza base.
-Children get to customise their pizza creation with their favourite toppings. (One lucky guest this school holidays will even get the chance to design a pizza for the Ribs Lane menu- naming rights included!)
-Watching their pizza getting cooked in the woodfire pizza oven.
-Enjoying their pizza straight out of the oven was super delicious!
-Children get to take home their pizza dough as it needs 48 hours to rest. We got to recreate our pizza creation again after 48 hours!
And what’s even better is the Parents’ Perk- Pizza & Pinot! While the children get hands-on with their pizza (the duration of the class is 2 hours), parents can sip on wine and small plates at a special discount! Ribs Lane is also the ultimate destination for the best ribs in Perth! So, don’t forget to give their popular slow-cooked smoky BBQ racks or wings a try while you are there! They have a halal-certified menu with vegan and gluten-free options. Free 90-minute parking is available at Subiaco Square carpark.
