When in Margaret River, it’s so easy to find family-friendly spots to dine. Places that cater for the kiddos, just as much as the adults. The Common Bistro in Gnarabup is one such spot, be sure to add it to your list. I just HAD to let you all in on this spot, which has a brilliant fenced kids’ playground, casual dining area and more.
The Common is part of Margaret’s Beach Resort. Located right next to their pool, it looked like a fab spot to stay, especially with it being so close to the beach. But you don’t have to be a resort guest to dine here. It has the feel of a local pub.
There’s plenty of space to dine inside and out. From dining by the lively bar to the quieter bistro dining room, and outside on the terrace. There are plenty of tables that are within view of the fenced playground.
The play area features a wooden cubby house, as well as a larger play structure/fort.
Miss L found a good tree to climb too.
Here are the kid’s menu options, which double as a colouring sheet.
Of course, the kiddos felt like pizza instead. So, they shared a meatlovers between them.
There’s plenty on the menu to cater for all tastes and dietary requirements. From the usual pub grub like pizzas, burgers and parmis. To healthier options, like these delicious fish tacos.
The boys challenged a couple of kids to a game of pool, which they loved playing too.
We enjoyed The Common, it’s a nice spot, with pub-style food and good vibes for all. It’s very close to the beautiful Gnarabup Beach too, which is overlooked by the brilliant White Elephant Cafe. Be sure to visit Gnarabup when you’re next in Margs – we will!
