Opened in September 2024, the brand new Piara Waters Library is already turning heads in the community, having won the 2025 Parks and Leisure Australia Awards of Excellence- Community Facility of the Year (WA)! Located within the Piara Waters Pavilion site, families can now enjoy fantastic library facilities and have access to the existing sports hub.
Stepping inside, you are greeted by the bright, enticing interior with a peaceful space, all thanks to the clever use of contemporary biophilic design by the building designers.
The massive windows not only allow natural light in but also make a perfect reading corner.
With sustainability, accessibility and adaptability design in mind, the children’s reading area features a spacious zone with a massive wooden tree in the centre!
Children can enjoy a play, colouring-in, lounge in one of the many comfy reading corners, or have a read inside the tree with the wombats.
Picture books, Junior Fiction and non-fiction, and graphic novels are accessible to children within their reach.
You can find DVDs, games and puzzles available for loan too.
There is also a Manga section for all manga-lovers.
The public can enjoy the many study spots around the library and have free access to the computers in the computer and printing hub.
Teens and Tweens will be thrilled to discover a dedicated youth space in this library, co-designed with local young people. It features a casual hangout area with game consoles and a state-of-the-art sound, recording, and editing studio equipped with industry-standard gear!
Free parking is available at the car park just right outside the library. And across it, you can find the Piara Waters Pavilion, which comes with a playground and reserve- perfect for children to have a play after their library time!

Baby Rhyme Time on every Monday 10.30am.
Toddler Romp on every Tuesday 10.30 am.
Story Time on every Friday 10.30am.
Gujarati Rhyme Time on selected Monday 11.30am.
Korean Story Time on selected Thursday 10.30am.
