It’s well worth checking out a family flick at Palace Cinemas in the Perth CBD! You’ll find the cinemas on the top floor of Raine Square – found in the shiny new “Bank West” office tower on the corner of William/Wellington and Murray Streets.
There’s a candy bar with lots of snacks and drinks on offer. Sadly, they were out of choc tops when we visited, but the buttery popcorn made up for that.
If you love a little luxe with your movie, Palace Cinemas have comfortable reclining chairs, with tables, as standard.
There’s plenty of choice, with 9 cinemas showing the latest movies from all around the world, as well as four Palace Platinum boutique screens (a little like gold class). We dropped by to watch Peter Rabbit 2 in the school holidays, which was lots of fun for all the family. Master 3 hopped on a booster seat, making sure he didn’t miss any of the bunny action. There’s also plenty of room to park a pram at the back of the cinema.
Getting to the cinema is so easy. Perth Underground train station is directly linked to Raine Square and Perth Busport is just across the road.. There is also parking onsite, with Wilson Parking at Raine Square & Queen Street Carparks offering discounted parking with validation of your ticket at the Palace Box Office.
Babes in Arms screenings are held at 11am each Thursday. Parents and their bubs can catch the latest film releases in the comfort of a lightly dimmed cinema, with easy pram access. In these screenings, no one minds how much noise is made by little ones. $15 for adults, (including a FREE Platinum cinema upgrade) and children under 3 years are free.
Frequent movie goers may like to join their movie club. This offers discounted tickets for all general admission sessions, a birthday voucher, plus invitations to exclusive Movie Club events and previews. Palace Cinemas also holds kids birthday parties. Palace Cinemas is a great addition to the city!
