Perched on a hill, overlooking beautiful southwest countryside, Beerfarm in Metricup is more than just a brewery; it’s a top spot for families seeking an authentic taste of the region’s famous laid-back vibes. With its rolling lawns, a fun kids’ playground, footy goals and farm animals โ€“ the spot is a great choice for lunching with the fam if youโ€™re in the Dunsborough or Margaret River areas.

What Beerfarm is famous for in summer is its epic slip and slide!!

Their steep hill is transformed into a super fun slip-and-slide, where kids aged 16 and under can ride the slide as much as they like. Be sure to load them up with sunscreen, as the queue is in full sun, if it gets long.

The kids had an absolute blast – it was one of their highlights of our holiday. And there’s plenty of spots for parents to watch.

Beerfarm is on a working farm – you’ll notice the old dairy farming equipment, even as you enter via what I assume is the old milking barn. The bar is found in a lofty shed, and only adds to the rustic vibe.

For the kids, the wooden nature play fort area keeps them entertained with plenty of climbing.

Little explorers can let their imaginations run wild playing farmer on the old tractor, while parents relax nearby.

It’s the perfect place for children to burn off energy, make new friends, and create holiday memories. They can meet Beerfarms’ resident alpaca, sheep and ducks too.

The brewery’s rolling lawns provide ample space for playing catch, kicking a footy through the AFL goals. Or why not do what the J-man did, roll down the hill!

The Beerfarm crew have a passion for craft beer and BBQ-style food. Beerfarm has plenty of craft beer offerings, including some of Mr Hโ€™s favourite brews. Whether you’re a craft beer connoisseur or looking to explore new flavours with a tasting paddle, their selection has something for everyone. We dined inside the shed, which was nice and shady, but casual enough for the kids to come and go to the slide and playground as they pleased.

Beerfarm’s BBQ-style dishes are spot on, the menu is a carnivore’s dream. We loved the plate of crispy lamb ribs with masterstock caramel, sesame, bean shoots, herbs, peanuts and lime so much, Mr H went back for another!

Most of the dishes are a bit more creative than your average pub-grub. For those who like to keep things simple, the Black Angus beef burger with bacon, melty cheese, lettuce, tomato, Carolina mustard, aioli and smoked tomato jam is sure to please. Itโ€™s served with chips.

The kiddos all chose fish and chips. Thereโ€™s just a pasta dish on the kids menu too, so the choice is limited. High chairs are available and the staff were really friendly.

Beerfarm is the ultimate family-friendly lunch destination for those on a Margaret River holiday. Weโ€™ll be sure to return in summer for that slip and slide too. Cheers to good times at Beerfarm!
