If you’re seeking a self-contained retreat, with a touch of luxury, look no further than Aqua Resort Busselton for your next family holiday. Each of the resorts beautiful houses cater for families of all sizes – with options of two to five bedrooms. Many even come with a private plunge pool! Found on Bussell Highway, 15 minutes drive from Dunsborough and 10 minutes from Busselton, it’s in a prime position to explore the southwest. Though, like us, you may just want to enjoy Aqua Resort’s many features and simply stay and relax!
After a super quick check-in, we drove up the peppermint tree-lined driveway to our house. It’s a peaceful spot, surrounded by nature. We even had a nest of baby birds in the bushes, and were visited by friendly ducks.
During our four-day stay, the six of us made ourselves at home in a stunning four-bedroom, three-bathroom Grove House with plunge pool. This boasts two king-sized master suites with ensuites, two king single beds, and four cosy bunks.
This ample space would comfortably accommodate two families, each couple would get their own master suite space.
Plus, there are enough beds for up to six children.
We were greeted with a delicious welcome hamper, on the huge island bench, to get us through the first day of our stay at Aqua Resort. This included cereals, fresh bread, butter, fruit, yoghurt, milk, chocolate, cheese, crackers and more.
The living space has plenty of room to relax, sit on the deck or watch TV.
Cook up a storm in the dreamy kitchen.
Or sit around the large table with a family game.
Plus, there’s that plunge pool!
Each residence features exquisite ensuites equipped with relaxing rain showers and BIG baths!
The family bathroom, which the kids shared, is well-appointed too.
If you visit in cooler months, you can enjoy the warmth of the fireplace, plus the houses are air-conditioned. There’s also a fully equipped laundry tucked away. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. There wasn’t much screen-time this holiday! If the kids weren’t swimming or fishing, they were riding their scooters up the driveway.
Some houses (like ours) include a heated plunge pool which the kids LOVED. It’s heated to 28 degrees, so can be enjoyed outside of summer too. Being on my hols, I didn’t want to be stuck in the kitchen, so we enjoyed easy meals like fish ‘n chips on the beach (the local Leeuwin Way Take Away is very good), Mr H fired up the BBQ on another night, and of course it would have been rude not to throw together a platter to enjoy by our private pool.

If you can tear yourself away from the beautiful house, the resort offers an array of amenities, including a full tennis court, a 25-meter infinity lap pool, a steam room, a gym, and an outdoor spa.
I always love to pull up a sun lounger and watch the kids swim!
Being a beachfront resort, breathtaking ocean views are just footsteps away. Our house was less than a 100-meter walk to the white sands of Geographe Bay.
The kids brought along their fishing rods and were delighted to catch whiting and a crab.
Paddling, kicking the footy and sandcastle-making were also firm favourites.
Be sure to bring a fishing rod!
School Holidays at Aqua Resort
During the school holidays, Aqua Resort plays host to many extra activities and services for kids and parents alike! There are complimentary morning yoga sessions on the lawns, with a dedicated children’s stretch session too.
There’s also face painting, cookie decorating, ice cream trucks, circus activities and more.
The kiddos just loved getting their faces painted!
For the adults, I looked forward to the morning coffee van, and pasty van(!!) each day. There are even day spa services that can be booked during the holidays.
Situated on eight acres of mature peppermint woodlands and right on the beachfront, Aqua Resort is an ideal place for a family holiday. The kids were so sad to leave – we all were! We loved the house, pools and being beachside. We had a wonderful stay at Aqua Resort and wouldn’t hesitate to return to make many more special memories.
