Doggies Day Out is returning to Whiteman Park on Sunday 27 September 2026, celebrating the Park’s four-legged visitors with a relaxed, family-friendly day at Mussel Pool West.
There will be plenty for dog lovers to explore, from local pet services and dog-related products to space for pooches to enjoy an outing with their people. Dogs are encouraged to attend, provided they stay on a lead and remain under their owner’s control. Dogs that are legally required to wear a muzzle must do so throughout the event.
Families with children are well catered for too. Free activities will include face painting, a dog-themed bouncy castle and more, making this an easy option for a day out with both kids and canine family members.
The first hour of the event, from 10am to 11am, will be a designated Quiet Hour for visitors who would prefer a lower-sensory experience. Later in the day, there will be doggy competitions, with categories expected to include best crooners, top tricks and best dressed doggos.
Parking is available around Mussel Pool West, with event parking on the oval alongside Mussel Pool, opposite the event area. Nearby car parks 20, 22, 24, 25 and 27 are also suggested, with ACROD parking available at car park 26. Alternatively, families can park in Whiteman Park’s Village and catch the train to the event, subject to weather and capacity.
