For a limited time only, the highly acclaimed Titanic. The Human Story exhibition – which attracted over 150,000 visitors during its Brisbane debut – has arrived at Northbridge Centre in Perth City.
Unlike any other Titanic exhibition, this deeply moving and meticulously curated experience is far from a typical museum visit. Be transported back to 1912 as you “board” the RMS Titanic and listen to the personal stories of the 2,200 souls on board, all while viewing more than 200 authentic artefacts.
What we love
The standout feature of the exhibition is its audio guide, which is absolutely essential to the experience. The guide is included in the ticket price and available in English. At the start, each visitor receives their own set of earphones (kid-sized earphones are available) and an easy-to-use audio device.

As you walk through the galleries, the narration brings the displays to life with music, sound effects, and intimate testimonies from Titanic’s passengers and crew. The stories were engaging even for my 8-year-old, who was able to understand and follow along.

The reconstructed interiors lead you through the Titanic’s iconic First-Class corridor, clearly highlighting the stark contrast between the luxurious First-Class suites and the cramped Third-Class cabins.

With more than 200 authentic artefacts – from photographs and carefully preserved handwritten letters to worn keepsakes and items salvaged from the ocean floor – you’ll find yourself drawn into the lives and stories of those on that fateful voyage.

Children can get up close to a detailed scale model of the Titanic and explore the intricate features of the ship.

We also visited the interactive “iceberg” to feel just how freezing the Atlantic waters were that night.

Along the way, several video stations provide a chance to pause while children watch short clips. One of these focuses on the night of the sinking, using animation to explain what happened in a way that kids can understand.

You’ll also see a scale model of the RMS Titanic wreck, showing how the ship now lies in two main pieces on the floor of the North Atlantic.

The experience concludes at the gift shop, which offers books, souvenirs, and gifts to suit both children and adults.

It took us around 1.5 hours to complete the exhibition, making it ideal for history lovers or a meaningful day out with the grandparents these school holidays. All ages are welcome, though children aged 8 and above are likely to get the most from the experience.
Please note:
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Children under 4 do not require a ticket.
- Toilets are located just outside the exhibition.
- The venue is pram-friendly.
- Food and drinks are not permitted inside.
- Convenient paid parking is available at Barrack Bridge Carpark, and metered street parking can be found around Northbridge Centre.
