Be sure to seek out this Kelmscott gem. The family friendly Pink Cafe is perfect for a treat with your little ones. This adorable spot tucked into the Perth foothills is an absolute local treasure, with lovely, welcoming staff.
The cafe has an extensive menu with delicious options for breakfast, lunch, and brunch, plus a packed cabinet with fresh savoury and sweet options (and plenty of GF/DF), so there’s something to satisfy every craving.
But what about the kids? Oh, The Pink Cafe has really got them covered! They boast a really, really big kids’ menu with plenty of choices even for the pickiest eaters. I’m pretty sure this is the biggest kids’ menu I’ve ever seen.
I sat at one of the high tables outside, beautifully engraved. Here, the coffee is seriously good (a Geisha roast) served in very pretty, big mugs. There’s a mouth-watering selection of cakes and treats. I was really pleased to see lots of gluten free options and loved the warmed berry friand.
There’s a small play-kitchen area outside, which is a lifesaver for keeping little people busy while you enjoy your coffee. It’s worth noting that the play area is close to a road, so keep watch on your little wanderers.
Outside, there’s also a blackboard and a stack of children’s book to keep them busy while waiting for food, plus a book exchange. It’s these thoughtful touches that make The Pink Cafe such a lovely spot for families to brunch.
