If you are looking for some of the best fluffiest souffle pancakes, you have to visit Kumo Desserts Perth in Northbridge! Like its name suggest – Kumo in Japanese means cloud and that’s the concept behind their fluffy and airy pancakes! Every bite of their pancake just melts instantly in your mouth!
This chic dessert shop has a nice cosy ambience and they not only sell their popular souffle pancakes, but also offers a wide selection of their Instagram-worthy speciality drinks and signature Tiramisu.
One of the things that kept us going back each time since they opened is that they have a new flavour of the month for their pancake and drinks every month. A perfect excuse to keep going back to try their new menu! The pancakes come with gluten-free options, too.
My kids are huge Boba lovers so they would always request to have the Boba Brulee Bomb. The crème brulee and brown sugar boba added that sweetness and chewiness texture to the light pancake.
The Biscoffee souffle pancake is a must-try for all Biscoff lovers! The jiggly pancake, served with crunchy Biscoff spread and mascarpone cheese, topped off with their bi-scoff sauce, makes the ultimate dessert pleasure.
And if you fancy something less fancy, you can’t go wrong with their Sunny Honey. A classic souffle pancake served with eucalyptus honey, honey cream and vanilla ice cream.
I would recommend getting a drink while waiting for the pancakes to be served.
Boujee Lychee is one of our favourite drinks here. The cassis puree lemonade complimented the lychee drink so well- if only the glass is bigger! Kids loved the Strawberry Kisses which is a strawberry tea smoothie topped with cheese foam.
A refreshing and aesthetically pleasing Yuzu Citron lemonade!
Missy 6 caught a glimpse of how the pancakes are made at the bar counter.
And if pancakes are not your thing, they also have a variety of their signature Tiramisu for dine-in or takeaway.
Although it says to allow 20 mins wait for the pancakes to be cooked, the pancakes were served quite promptly each time we were there. Be expected to wait in line during their peak hours. Seatings are available indoors and outdoors. Baby chairs are available, and toilets are conveniently located inside the shop. The closest car park is at CPP Cultural Centre, otherwise there is limited parking available around the street.
