Paperbark Burger Co has to be one of the hidden gems in Piara Waters, serving one of Perth’s most delicious smash burgers! And they farm their own beef!!
From paddock to table, you can’t get any fresher patties than theirs! They use their own Akauski (a breed of Red Wagyu) beef from their North Dandalup farm, which is sustainably farmed, so you know what you are eating is definitely 100% fresh and hormone—and preservative-free!
The shop itself is not very big with a few small and big tables. We went there before the dinner crowd came and could easily get a table. The place got filled up quite quickly but there are more tables outside the shop available too. There are baby chairs in the shop as well. If the kids get bored while waiting, they can always hop onto the window bar seats and get a view of their kitchen cooking up a storm. And toilets are conveniently located outside the shop.
What I love about this burger place is that they have a family deal! For a family of four like us, it does help save some extra money. The family deal includes 2 burgers, a large fries and 2 kids’ meals.
There is a wide selection of burgers on their menu. They have vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, lactose free and Halal options too.
We tried The Big Cheese and the Comeback Chicken burgers. The burgers are served on their potato buns, which have been toasted with ghee, so it’s extra fragrant and soft. The beef patties are hand-smashed and grilled on their grill perfectly.
At first glance you might think that the patties look very thin, but they are so juicy and flavourful and crispy on the edges. The fried chicken is juicy and tender with a good crunch too!
The Family Deal came with their Melaleuka spiced chips. The spice flavour is well balanced with a little kick and is very addictive! My kids loved it and kept going for more.
Paperbark Burger Co has a kids’ menu as well with a choice of burger or nuggets. My kids opted for their miniBark burger and chips meal and it was huge!
