Hi-Voltage in Belmont is packed full of fun! Touted as a “one-stop-shop for all your entertainment and adventure needs”, it’s perfect for spending a few hours of family fun – particularly if you have older kids. There’s electric go-karts, glow mini golf, and a play centre (coming soon). The multi-level venue is a great spot for indoor entertainment on a rainy or very hot day.
Go Karting
The Go Karting circuit twists and turns, offering an electrifying time for all driver levels with speeds up to 75kmph. At WA’s largest indoor go-kart circuit, which is over 350m long, kids can race solo or have a passenger ride in a duo kart. For younger children, Hi Voltage has WA’s only indoor electric Junior Karts for 7-11yrs. And being electric karts, there are no fumes and it’s not too noisy. Children 12yrs and over can race parents, and test their driving skills with the senior karts.
Junior Karts: 124cm and ages 7+
Senior Karts: 147cm and ages 12+
The track time is about 10 minutes. There is a driver briefing before that to go through instructions and safety procedures. Little Chef loved it!
Mini Golf
Upstairs you’ll find not one, but two fun Glow Mini Golf courses. These amazing courses are suitable for kids over the age of 5.
Each 9-hole course is themed – one having a car theme (of course). A circus themed course has to be our favourite.
First, we putted our way through the “speed course” with vibrant murals, lots of obstacles and a full 360-degree loop to navigate.
We found the course pretty challenging – no holes in one here!
We absolutely loved the circus-themed course, with a big top, cannon, ferocious lion, giant popcorn, motorized Ferris wheel and more!
The mesmerising artwork includes lights, sounds and a couple of surprises. It’s very cool.
As well as the go karting and mini golf, I noticed there is a Play Centre coming soon. It will offer a toddler area and kids zone, a special interactive games room with over 30 games and an interactive ball wall. So soon younger children will also be well entertained at Hi-Voltage, truly making it a top destination for the entire family.
Hi-Voltage offers Kids Parties, with packages available for Go Karting, Glow Mini Golf and Play centre (one it opens) including party room hire and kids’ food. There’s a café on site too, selling drinks and snacks. Plenty of windows in the café allow spectators to watch the karting.
While walk-ins are ok, I’d definitely book online, to reduce waiting times. Be sure to head to Hi-Voltage, for an action-packed day out.
