Fonty’s Pool is a beautiful natural swimming hole located in the heart of the Southern Forests region of Western Australia. Officially opened in 1925, Fonty’s Pool is a popular spot for families and tourists alike, and for a good reason! Here’s everything you need to know about visiting Fonty’s Pool with your family.
Fonty’s Pool is located in the town of Manjimup, which is about 3 hours south of Perth and is situated within the Fonty’s Pool Caravan Park and Chalets
The main attraction at Fonty’s Pool is, of course, the swimming! The spring water pool is perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The water depth changes around the pool from 0.4m (ideal for babies and toddlers) up to about 2m in the middle. Just be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty, so make sure to keep a close eye on your children at all times. The whole pool area is fenced and gated from the caravan park.
Fonty’s Pool has a lot of fun features for kids to enjoy! They can play on several huge inflatable tractor tubes and jump off a platform into the deeper part of the pool.
Fonty’s Pool has plenty of facilities to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. The grassy area around the pool is perfect for throwing down a rug and enjoying a picnic. There are picnic tables and BBQs available, as well as toilets and changing rooms. There is also a small kiosk on site that sells snacks and drinks.
Just outside of the fenced area, next to the car park, is an exciting nature playground.
Entry to Fonty’s Pool is free for people staying at the caravan park or $3 per person for outside visitors. The fee is payable at the food kiosk and they have EFTPOS facilities.
Overall, Fonty’s Pool is a wonderful spot for a family day out. With its beautiful natural setting, clear water, and plenty of facilities, it’s no wonder it’s such a popular destination. So pack a picnic, grab your swimmers, and head to Fonty’s Pool for a fun-filled day with the family!
