I cannot often say I still have energy left after the kids go to bed, but WOW. I was left buzzing after a fantastic day out using About Bike Hire, East Perth.
With a myriad of options available, you can choose what ride best suits you and your family. From children’s bikes of all sizes to tandem bikes, baby seat fittings to cabooses – there’s plenty of choice. You can even hire a family quad-cycle to tour the town together in style!
Rocking up on the day there was plenty of bike availability – which I suspect may not be the case in warmer months, and would definitely recommend booking ahead online.
We selected two trailer bikes and got pedalling. Setting off in the gentle winter sun there was a beautiful view from the cycle path running alongside the Swan River. We spotted boats, washed-up oyster shells, and lots of other cyclists along the way, who the kids loved waving to.
We stopped at the Camfield for a delicious lunch (much-needed fuel for Mum and Dad) but were really spoiled for choice of other eateries within riding distance.
We decided to avoid the city and continue cycling along the river, taking in the beautiful sights and stopping at the many interesting places along the way, including the beautiful Victoria Gardens, which also has accessible public toilets and a playground.
When 4.30pm rolled around we reluctantly returned. We all wanted to keep riding as it had been such a fun and wholesome day! We got awesome photos, a fun new memory made, and to top it all off, the kids were out like a light at bedtime. Win!
Check out About Bike Hire, located at 305 Riverside Drive, East Perth, with ample CPP parking available (daily rate of $8 payable on weekends)!
Feel like a kid again, and enjoy a great day outdoors with the family.
