Stirling Square is a beautiful park in the heart of Guildford, Surrey. Surrounded by classic buildings, this park has much to offer. You can find St Matthews Church built in 1873, Guildford war memorial, a duck pond and a rose garden. There is plenty of seating and walking paths for you to enjoy as well as shelters and trees providing shade.
Stirling Square is located right across the street from the visitor’s information centre, there is a large gazebo which is perfect for wedding ceremonies. It features plenty of easily accessible pathways for wheelchairs and strollers; it is also just a few minutes walk from Guildford Train Station, making it very easy to get there by public transport.
The playground at Stirling Square is now upgraded and offers a sand-based area with 2 main structures: a swing set with 2 swings and a web swing, as well as a wooden structure with a slide, rope climbing frame, and fireman pole. There’s also a water play area – great for those warmer months. A natural play area with balancing logs will keep the kids interested for hours!
Stirling Square is the perfect spot for a picnic or a play before heading to one of the many cafes in the area.
