Perth Aqua Park, located at Perth Wake Park, is a massive inflatable, floating island with over 100 inter-connecting obstacles suitable for ages 6yrs+ (6-9yr olds must be accompanied by a paying adult, max of 4 kids per adult.). As the water is very deep, park users must be comfortable in water and can swim.
Arrive 20-30mins before your session time to ensure the waivers have been signed and to be fitted with the correct size buoyancy vest that is securely & snuggly fitted.
After the safety briefing, you are ready to head on down the ramp for a full 50mins of full-on fun!
Once you are in the hardest decision is where to start!
The boys went straight down the middle of the park and after a quick stop for a jump on the trampoline they headed to the rope climbing wall with 2 giant slides.
Thankfully for those like me, who fell in going across the obstacles that let you jump up onto the knot in the rope to pull yourself up, there is a handle climb wall on one side.
The girls made their way around to the right towards the other large slide. We slipped and slid all the way around, falling in, climbing back and sometimes crawling on our knees.
By the far, the favourite activity of the kids was launching each other off “The Blob”.
The oldest 3 spent a lot of time on that. It was a little tricky at first getting the first person to land just right on the pillow for the best launch but the lifeguard at the top gave excellent instructions and by the second attempt, they were experts.
Over on the left side of the aquatic playground is a 3-lane course you can challenge your friends to ‘You’re a Wipeout Race’. I choose the middle lane, thinking it looked the easiest but they all have their own tricky challenges.
Ramps with handles are placed all around the obstacle course to get you back up onto the inflatable easily.
Bumping siblings off the floating island was, of course, popular with my 4 kids but at least they helped each other on before bumping them off again.
Most of the obstacles are easy but there are a few challenging ones in there as well. Everything being wet & slippery adds to the challenges.
There is a café onsite offering a good selection of hot/cold snacks and drinks and ice cream. The park offers plenty of shaded seating, on the grass and also with chairs & tables. The café next door at the Perth Aqua Park offers a larger menu.
There is a rinse off shower next to the lake and changerooms next to the cafe.
It is recommended to make a booking online at Perth Aqua Park to avoid missing out sessions are reaching capacity, that also allows you to sign the waiver form online which makes checking in faster when you arrive.
Lifeguards patrol every session. They are placed throughout the playground as well on land. They were awesome, helpful & encouraging as well as keeping everyone safe.
The water is a man-made, clay-lined lake and is regularly tested by The City of Rockingham. We found it very fresh and refreshing.
The kids and I had a fantastic morning on the obstacle course and 50mins was ample time to give everything a go a few times and to be quite exhausted by the end. Well, I was exhausted, the kids wanted to head back onto “The Blob”!
We loved it!

How much does it cost for a session at the perth aqua park? I can’t find prices on the website????
Its popular but at $25 for 50 mins and a need to book or $40 for 2 sessions, may as well pay $55 at Adventure World for all day and all those rides and pools. Value wise cant compare.
