Located in the heart of Manning at the Manning Community Centre, you can find the well-liked Manning Library, which the young and old love to hang out. It serves as the local community hub, with the Manning Child Health Clinic, Moorditj Keila Aboriginal Group, and a sporting club room all under one roof, along with cafes, restaurants, boutique shops, and health services businesses in the same vicinity.
The Childrenโs activity area in the Manning Library is tucked in a corner, separated by glass partitions so children can stay there without worrying about wandering. Check out their timetable to avoid missing out on their early childhood program.
The vast floor-to-ceiling windows let in natural light and create an inviting space for children to read. There are many comfortable reading spots for them to pick from, including the big reading tree and bean bags and chairs throughout the area.

Young readers can easily access the picture books, with plenty of space around them.

You can also find a colouring corner here (teddy bear companion included!), activity boxes like Legos for them to play too.

Older kids can enjoy their Junior Fiction and Non-fiction books, which are located just outside the children’s activity area. They can also grab the board games or borrow them home to play.

Borrowing stations are equipped with stools for little ones to borrow books with ease.

And if you are visiting with the grandparents, there is a lounge area with comfortable sofa seating, tables and chairs for them to grab a paper or magazine while waiting. TVs and drinking fountains are found in that area, too. The public can enjoy the free Wi-Fi in the library to catch up on work or study.

Toilets are located inside the building, and free 2-hour parking is available at the underground car park.
The best part is that after the library visit, children can have a play at the playgrounds at the James Miller Oval just outside the Community Centre.

You can find the toddler-friendly playground just right outside the library with a mini nest swing and sensory touch panels.

Older kids can play at the bigger playground just a short walk opposite the oval. This playground consists of many climbing elements, a taller slide, and swings, with parking and benches around, too.
