When I first heard about Tippy Tumblez opening in Mandurah, I was so excited to check it out! This new baby and toddler studio has been such a wonderful find for us, offering the perfect space for my little one to burn off energy and develop new skills. We’re currently enjoying our first term of tumbling classes, and we’re absolutely loving it for so many reasons!
But first, let me give a quick run-down:
Tumbling Classes: The adventure class at Tippy Tumblez is perfect for little ones who love to climb, jump and explore. With obstacle courses, balance games and group play, these sessions help toddlers build confidence, coordination and friendships in a safe, welcoming environment. These classes are ideal for kids aged 1 to 4 years.
Sensory Classes: For babies, Tippy Tumblez offers a sensory class designed to engage and stimulate their senses through music, sensory toys and gentle movements. These sessions are a great way for you to bond with your little one while fostering early development and sensory exploration. Perfect for babies aged 0 to 2 years.
Now back to why we’re loving it!
First and foremost, the lady running our classes is an enthusiastic seasoned gymnastics coach, with years of experience. Her expertise shines through in the way she interacts with the children – patient, kind and always encouraging, which is incredibly reassuring as a parent!
A standout for me was that the classes are capped at just eight kids. We’ve tried other local programs, which are fantastic in their own right, but they can get a bit overwhelming with up to 40 kids in attendance. My son (and honestly, I too) prefer a more intimate setting, where there’s room to breathe, play and truly engage. The smaller class sizes at Tippy Tumblez offer that perfect balance.
The class format is a mix of structured activities and free play, which is exactly what toddlers need. The sessions incorporate songs, stretches and fun movements that encourage little onesto explore their bodies. The best part is that if my son is not quite feeling up to joining in at any point (which certainly happened at our first session), he’s completely free to head over to the free play area. This flexibility creates a stress-free environment, where children can join in when they’re ready, and parents can relax and enjoy watching them grow.
What’s also fantastic is the brand-new, clean space. There’s something so refreshing about a new studio designed specifically for toddlers. It feels welcoming, safe and is equipped with everything they need to explore and have fun. The equipment is great, and the environment promotes active play, something I always try to encourage at home, but it’s great to have a space dedicated to it. Tippy Tumblez also offers party packages.
Another bonus has been the friendships I’ve formed with other mums in the classes. It’s so lovely to connect with other parents who are experiencing the same joys and challenges of toddlerhood.
We’ve already signed up for the term, and I highly recommend Tippy Tumblez to any parent looking for a safe, fun and nurturing environment for their little one to explore and grow.
