If you’re searching for an affordable, family-friendly day out, I highly recommend heading to Mineral Resources Park to support the West Coast Eagles AFLW. Recently, I took my family to a game, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience for all ages.
One of the best things about attending an AFLW match is the price—tickets are just $15 for adults, and kids under 18 get in free! This makes it a perfect outing that won’t break the bank, especially for larger families. We packed a picnic blanket, which allowed us to relax and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.
There’s so much more than just the game itself. The park is set up with food trucks, a pop-up bar, and plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. My kids especially loved the chance to see some of the West Coast Eagles men’s team and other local Perthalities who were also attending the game.
The highlight for my children was meeting the AFLW players after the game. The players were approachable, friendly, and happy to take photos with the kids. It made the day even more special and left a lasting impression on them.
