Buggbuddys guide to fenced playgrounds Perth! Kids love burning off energy at parks and playgrounds, and Perth’s got some of the best in the world. We’ve seen many new parks open up recently with some impressive play equipment, features and facilities. Best of all, they’re all FREE!

What’s to love about fenced playgrounds Perth?

Many toddler playgrounds are fenced. But fenced playgrounds aren’t just for littler ones. Fenced playgrounds are great for keeping little runners of all ages away from busy roads. They also keep children and strange dogs apart, just in case. These playgrounds offer a safe play environment, often with sand or rubber soft fall to save little knees.

We’ve added details of where playgrounds are close to local coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Therefore you can grab a bite to eat before or after your play, or grab a takeaway coffee.     Seldon Street Playground is located in a small park on Eton Street, North Perth. The street is fairly quiet, with plenty of roadside parking available. The playground area is fenced with two Maglock gates, and the equipment is surrounded by rubbery softfall. Shade sails cover most of the playground, with shady trees outside the fence helping to increase the shaded area.     The new Shelley Beach playground is a great playground to visit. It’s right on the river, and around the enclosed playground is plenty of grass to kick a ball on, BBQs and gazebos and, of course, the beautiful river. My 10-year-old was impressed with the park, especially the X-park obstacle course. The course is set up with a starting point and different obstacles throughout, including climbing, balancing and swinging.     Watermans Bay Playground

    

    Watermans Bay Playground is a hidden treasure, set back off the main West Coast Drive over-looking the sea.  You can easily miss the turning as it’s such a small off-road down to a car park for approximately 30 cars.
