The Morris (formerly The Saint) in Innaloo has transformed into a family-friendly destination that caters to everyone. This reimagined venue strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated dining and family entertainment.
During our Friday lunch visit, we discovered the venue’s versatile spaces. The Hall offers an elegant restaurant atmosphere ideal for group dining, while The Terrace provides the perfect setting for summer socialising. Sports enthusiasts will feel at home in The Front Bar. However, the crown jewel for families is the outdoor playground, allowing parents to relax over drinks or a meal while keeping an eye on their little ones.
The thoughtfully designed playground features an impressive wooden play structure including a climbing tower with multiple access points, a cubby house, slides, and climbing ropes. Two kids’ picnic tables complete the space. The open design allows children to explore freely, while a winding balance beam adds to the adventure. Soft artificial turf provides a safe surface for toddlers and crawlers, and extensive shade sails ensure comfort throughout the day.
The culinary offerings exceed expectations, with both main and children’s menus showing careful consideration. We sampled Mario’s pizza – a delightful surprise featuring prawns and a subtle chilli kick – alongside perfectly crispy crumbed zucchini, creating an ideal balance of flavours. The children’s menu is particularly impressive, offering exceptional value at $15. Beyond traditional favourites like nuggets and chips, fish and chips, or mac and cheese, each meal includes healthy additions: boiled eggs, fresh salad, cheese, sultanas, a ‘frog in a pond’ dessert, and juice. The colourful presentation and thoughtful inclusion of activity packs reflect the parent-friendly approach to family dining.
The Morris successfully combines modern pub amenities with family-friendly features. From its inviting terrace spaces to the sports bar and formal dining area, there’s something for everyone. With an extensive menu featuring great sharing options, daily specials, regular events, and an impressive cocktail selection, The Morris should be at the top of your list for family dining.
