M&H café is the spot to go when you need your op shop fix but you have the kiddies. Situated beside the Salvation Army church in Morley, the café allows you to get your caffeine fix, entertain the kids and then pot into the op shop right next door.
M&H café opened its doors in 2023 and is home to a small modern café, inside toy area and outside play area. The play area features open-ended play with a wooden fixture that could be anything from a boat or car to a cubby house. It’s just up to your imagination. There are stepping stones, blocks and chalk plus the outside seating area is large enough for the kids to run around. There are even stones painted like ladybugs, bees, frogs and owls hidden all around for the kids to try and find.
Inside you’ll find a small basket of toys for the younger ones.
The café itself has all the typical drinks plus freshly made items on display including the usual croissants, sweet items and fresh or toasted paninis. The staff are very warm and friendly, they even gave my daughter a sticker sheet which she was very thrilled with.
The Salvos Op Shop is then situated right next door and is also new having been moved from the old Morley Salvos at the end of 2023. It is a well-stocked op shop with a large selection of their “boutique” selections. Their change rooms are also large enough to fit prams which is a rare find in any shop.
Head here on your own or even better arrange a play date with a friend. Let the kids play and take it in turns to meander around the Salvos without feeling rushed.
