    In the middle of Victoria Park along busy Albany Hwy you will find Read Park. It is a lovely green, shady park situated next to the Victoria Park Community garden. The play equipment has been situated away from the highway and one of the play areas is enclosed with a fence. The area also has toilets, including an accessible toilet, drink fountain, rubbish bins and bench seats.     Located at Keith Hayes Community Centre (6 Lathlain Place, Lathlain), the Carlisle & Victoria Park Toy Library has been serving the community since 1989. The library opens Wednesdays (10:00am-11:30am) and Saturdays (9:30am-11:00am). Members can borrow up to 6 toys for 3 weeks, with the option to renew once.     McCallum Park is a large, but seemingly underused, park located near that difficult to negotiate junction between Shepperton Road and Canning Hwy. It’s accessed from Taylor St (off Canning Hwy) and there are plenty of parking spaces (some shaded) on both Taylor St. and the adjacent Garland St. Toilets (LHS) and parking on Taylor St. There are male and female toilets on both Taylor and Garland Streets and these were….well…what you would expect in a park.
