Lake Leschenaultia Campsite Features
The campsite is just a hop skip and jump from the lake, behind the Flackyard kiosk. Some sights enjoy views of Lake Leschenaultia, while others are surrounded by the bushland. The sites are a good size and edge onto the forest. You can bring tents, campervans, camper trailers, motorhomes and even small caravans here. Powered and unpowered sites are available, the sites don’t have water taps, so make sure you fill up your tanks before you leave.
The main camp kitchen is clean and brightly lit at night. It’s equipped with a food preparation bench, picnic tables, BBQs, a microwave, toaster, kettle, sink and fridge with a freezer compartment. There is drinking water available here too. Plus, there’s clean showers, toilets etc. If you run out of anything – Chidlow is only 2kms from the lake.

If you want to dine with a view, there are numerous picnic tables around the lake.
There’s also a nature playground right next to the campground.
The big draw for winter campers is the fire pits. The kids enjoyed evenings under a sky full of stars sitting by the flickering fire – with toasted marshmallows, of course. Fire pits can be used when there are no fire bans in place (usually April to November).
It’s also worth noting that dogs are not allowed at the lake.
