Join us for the  Discovery Time sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10:30am to 11am, where your little ones can engage in free, drop-in activities.

Dive deeper into the world of learning with our Little Learners program, led by our Learning and Engagement team, every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:45am to 10:45am.

Immerse yourself in the magic of storytelling during our Volunteer-led Storytime sessions on Fridays and Sundays from 10:30am to 11am, free for all to enjoy.

For a truly immersive experience, don’t miss our Under 5’s play sessions, led by our Learning and Engagement team, every Monday during the school term from 9:30am to 12pm, currently featuring the captivating ‘To The Moon’ exhibition.

Discovery Time

Join us for Discovery Time, a 30-minute early-learning session for children under 5 at the WA Museum Boola Bardip. Young explorers can engage with museum objects and tactile artifacts through hands-on activities designed to spark imagination and curiosity. Each session features a unique theme and location, so check with the information desk upon arrival to find out where the fun begins.

Dates: Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays | 10.30am – 11am

Little Learners: Dino Discoverers 

Calling all junior paleontologists! Join us for educator-led early learning experiences for big minds and little hands.

Dino Discoverers explores prehistoric life in Western Australia — from dinosaurs to marine reptiles and megafauna! We’ll dig up fossils, measure dinosaurs both towering and tiny, examine features (like teeth!) and uncover any traces left behind by the incredible creatures that once roamed this land.

Sessions include 45 minutes of educator-led activities, followed by a 15-minute visit to the focus of your little learner’s session, bringing your dino discoveries to life.

Each week introduces a new dinosaur theme, making learning a roaring good time while integrating values from the Early Years Learning Framework.

Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Cost: Single-session | $15 per child

Book 4+ sessions, receive 15% discount

General admission fees apply for those 16 and over with an enrolled participant.

Every Sunday, join us at the WA Museum Boola Bardip in the Wildlife Gallery for the Remarkable Reptiles Up Close experience.

This engaging session invites visitors to explore the incredible world of Western Australia’s unique reptiles. You’ll uncover fascinating facts about these amazing creatures and get the chance to meet some of the museum’s resident reptiles up close. Plus, learn valuable tips on how to attract reptiles to your own backyard!
