Futures Lab Coding: Space Defender
Earth needs your help! A swarm of alien invaders is closing in, and your coding skills are humanity’s last line of defence.
Join the Futures Lab Coding team and design your own fast-paced arcade game by giving your lone starship the ability to dodge attacks, fire lasers and keep track of high scores.
Along the way, you’ll learn about computer logic, collision detection and variables, all while saving the planet.
Laptops provided. Please bring a USB drive.
Parents are welcome to join in the fun.
Please book in as spaces are limited.
This program is suitable for kids aged 10 – 15 and is a hands-on workshop. Please book one ticket for each person attending. Photography and videography may be taken at this event. Images and footage may be used by the City of Swan and event organisers for marketing and promotional purposes.
